Michelle Gillingwater Pedersen Crowned Miss Gibraltar 2011
Michelle Gillingwater Pedersen, 23, is the new Miss Gibraltar. The 1st runner-up was Jessica Baldachino, 23, and the 2nd runner-up was Chantal Canepa, 24.
Kirsty-Anne Victory won the Miss Catwalk and Miss Interview awards, Gianna Robba won the Miss Photogenic award and Rubaina Pincho won the Miss Friendship award.
Miss Gibraltar 2011 is a private bank clerk who speaks English, Spanish, and Danish. When asked why she joined the pageant, Michelle responded:
“ I’ve always had an interest in joining and this year I look forward to making new friends, working hard, enjoying myself and the exciting challenges ahead that I will experience with all the Miss Gibraltar contestants”.
Upon being crowned Miss Gibraltar 2011, her first words were: “It feels incredible! I am so, so, happy”.
Gibraltar won its first Miss World title in 2009, with Kaiane Aldorino.
