Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is an Indian actress, model and former Miss World who conqured Miss World title in 1994 and started her film career with Mani Ratnam's Tamil film Iruvar in 1997.
Currently Aishwarya is filming for science fiction Tamil film Endhiran with Rajinikanth and Mani Ratnam's Raavan in Hindi, with Abhishek Bachchan, Vikram, Govinda & Manisha Koirala. She'll also appear in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Guzaarish opposite Hrithik Roshan and Vipul Shah's Action Replay also starring Akshay Kumar, Neha Dhupia, Randhir Kapoor.
She was awarded the Padma Shri for her contributions to Indian cinema in 2009. In June 2009, she was declared the Female Star of The Decade at the tenth International Indian Film Academy Awards held in Macau.
