Miss Universe beauty queen Rachael Finch gets wet and wild in Australia

She came fourth in the Miss Universe pageant in 2009 and Australian model Rachael Finch proved she can still earn top marks in the swimsuit category.

The beauty queen was spotted taking part in a photo shoot on the shore in Balmoral of her native Sydney, Australia.

With her locks damp smoothed back, the 23-year-old cut an enviable figure as she posed with her hands on her tiny waist and bended her right leg to create the illusion of a more curvaceous body.

Although much of the session taking place with her feet dipped in the water, at one point she lay on her stomach to pose for a professional camera man.

Gripping her wet hair with one hand balancing herself with the other rested on the ground, she put on a sultry show with her legs crossed over in the air.

She later stripped down to reveal her deep purple two-piece with black stud detail, tying her brunette tresses back into a bun.

Wrapping her blue and white striped towel around her waist, she was spotted lugging several pieces of clothing over her shoulder and carrying white flip flops in her hands.

Rachael competed on the Australian version of Dancing With The Stars two years ago.

She met her fiance, professional dancer Michael Miziner, on the show and was yesterday showing off her engagement ring.

Ukrainian-born Miziner popped the question in last year after an 18-month whirlwind romance.

Rachael is currently writing a self-help book for girls and wants to one day host her own chat show.

She said recently: 'There are strong stereotypes about pageant girls ... but we're just as career-driven as other women, and want to achieve.
